Sanitation Lab

At Library Park Dental, your health and safety is our number one concern. That’s why all of our equipment is either disposable or sterilized between every patient.

We take your health and safety seriously. We have a multi-step process that is followed in our sanitation lab across from the hygiene chairs. For anything that is not disposable, we first utilize an ultrasonic chemical bath where items are soaked and heated. After rinsing, items are placed in an autoclave. This machine introduces steam into the sterilizing chamber, and room temperature air is forced out a valve. The pressure is then increased, which allows the temperature of the chamber to increase and superheat the water molecules present. That pressure and high temperature are maintained for the appropriate amount of time (depending on the item being sterilized).

Other items used during your dental treatment are disposable. They are used for your procedure and then discarded according to EPA protocol.

Talking about sterilization procedures is not glamorous, but we take your health seriously and are proud of our procedures. When you come to Library Park Dental, know that your health comes first.
