Floss Daily
Food gets stuck between teeth, and over time, plaque can build up. This buildup not only leads to tooth decay but can also lead to gum disease. Flossing removes that build-up, which means your teeth and gums will remain stronger and healthier.
Brush Two Times a Day
Brushing your teeth removes food particles and the plaque that accumulates. The best way to brush is with a soft-bristled brush that fits your mouth. You should easily be able to reach all areas of your mouth. We recommend using an electric toothbrush, as it clears plaque and food particles better than a regular toothbrush. We sell several electric toothbrushes at the office at our cost, saving you money, because it is important to us that you have the best type toothbrush available at an affordable price.
Replace Your Toothbrush Every 3 Months
If your bristles are frayed or it has been three months, it is time to replace your toothbrush. If the bristles are frayed they will not do a good job of cleaning your teeth. Some doctors also recommend the replacement of the toothbrush if you have an illness that requires antibiotics like strep throat.
